Ramada Christchurch City and Safari Hotels aim to be leaders in responsible and sustainable tourism. In partnership with our employees, guests, whānau and business partners, we all have an active responsibility and commitment to act as kaitiaki of our communities and our environment.
It’s a part of our everyday practices – it’s part of who we are!
Our everyday mahi
From our policies on procurement, plastics and waste to the everyday actions of our employees and you, our guests, we aim to protect our local environment.
This means finding innovative ways for us to reduce our waste, energy and water consumption, in room amenities, preventative maintenance and help our guests make more sustainable choices.
We’re all in this together!
We’re a part of Wyndham Green
As part of our global commitment of hotel social responsibility and environmental practices, Ramada Christchurch City actively participates in the Wyndham Green programme by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
We’re all about creating positive guest experiences and Wyndham Green helps us adopt best practices by building a culture that continuously strives to improve and sustain our positive environmental and social results over time.
Our Procurement Process
At Safari Hotels, we act as kaitiaki and pursue a sustainable procurement policy which will stimulate the market regarding a more innovative and sustainable approach to procurement.
We do this by choosing consciously for every purchase we make, by examining the entire product life cycle from start to finish and by examining the possibility of fair-trade, certified organic and/or local products.
